The Fountain City Business & Community Group held its 1st Annual Winter Festival on February 6th, 2021. Like true Wisconsinite’s the show went on despite single-digit temperatures and a brisk wind.
Those brave enough to venture out enjoyed some fun outdoor activities like turkey bowling and bean bags and warmed up around the campfire roasting s’mores. The Chili Cook-Off participants served up a wide variety of flavors. A ticket purchase gave you as many samples as you’d like and the opportunity to vote for your favorite. A tie vote gave the Grand Champion award to the youngest chili chefs Zoe Tepovich with her Secret Ingredient Chili recipe and Kyla Gotzinger with her 6 Pepper Chili recipe.
The group’s fundraising also included a bake sale, sales of logo apparel and $5 collectible cups for bottomless beer at the event. There are remaining sweatshirts and cups available to purchase.
