Join us for an evening of music with Driftless Dulcimers. This group will share a family-friendly evening of music and song accompanied mostly using their mountain dulcimers. In addition, group members include selections with hammered dulcimer, fiddle, and penny whistle. The mountain dulcimer is a traditional instrument that was developed in the rolling hills of Appalachian Mountain communities. The group provides a joyful and energetic link to those musical origins.
The Driftless Dulcimer group includes Cindy Selin (vocals, dulcimer, fiddle), Gwyn Calvetti (dulcimer), Erin Hussey (vocals, mountain & hammered dulcimers, penny whistle), and Beth Sullivan (dulcimer, penny whistle). The group formed in 2021 to share their love of dulcimers and have enjoyed sharing their collection of music and songs at farmer’s markets, libraries, community centers, book stores, and Nursing Homes in the Driftless region. What a grand opportunity to hear this new group at Merrick State Park.
FREE event, but a valid annual or daily vehicle sticker is required to enter the park.
