Drum Making Workshop with Wayne Manthey

In this educational workshop you will make your own one-sided drum. When people create their own drums they can’t help but develop deep connections to it. The drum you create becomes an extension of yourself and a gateway to greater understanding of your connection to all.
We start with a pre-constructed frame, deer hides, and a bucket of walnut stain. First, you choose your frame, lay out the hides, and take a few moments of reflection to connect to this medium. After cutting out the drum circles, Wayne will lead the group one step at a time, through the rest of the process. All you need is to be there and do it!
Choose to make a 13 Inch Drum or a 16 Inch Drum. Class size is limited to sign up early!
Ticket includes instruction, all required materials, and general admission to Kinstone for the day.
