DESCRIPTION:The Corner Store Presents: 100 Years of Soda Fountain Service – A Community Celebration \nWe’re closing a portion of Main Street for the afternoon to mark a milestone that helped shape Fountain City. ⛲️🏠 \nThis spring marks 100 years of soda fountain service at The Corner Store. Our historic Liquid Carbonic marble soda fountain bar\, custom white oak back bar\, matching white oak soda fountain stools\, and original tin ceiling were all installed in 1926 by local craftsman Adolph Schwark during the ownership of pharmacist Simon “Si” Richtman. \nThat moment transformed the City Drug Store into a true Soda Fountain and established the gathering place it would remain for generations.
