DESCRIPTION:Michael Scott has been a professional storyteller for 20 years and has performed throughout the region. For the last 8 years he has been the host of The Ghosts of Historic Downtown La Crosse Walking Tour. He is the writer/actor for the Dark La Crosse Walking Tour for the La Crosse Public Library; which later became a stage show and podcast.\nIn 2018 he wrote and produced an outdoor theatre piece called Walking with Twain in collaboration with The La Crosse Community Theatre. Last year he produced a One Act play called Mark Twain in La Crosse Tonight at The Pump House Regional Arts Center.\nMichael is also a celebrity impersonator and voice actor. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of music with Driftless Dulcimers. This group will share a family-friendly evening of music and song accompanied mostly using their mountain dulcimers. In addition\, group members include selections with hammered dulcimer\, fiddle\, and penny whistle. The mountain dulcimer is a traditional instrument that was developed in the rolling hills of Appalachian Mountain communities. The group provides a joyful and energetic link to those musical origins.\nThe Driftless Dulcimer group includes Cindy Selin (vocals\, dulcimer\, fiddle)\, Gwyn Calvetti (dulcimer)\, Erin Hussey (vocals\, mountain & hammered dulcimers\, penny whistle)\, and Beth Sullivan (dulcimer\, penny whistle). The group formed in 2021 to share their love of dulcimers and have enjoyed sharing their collection of music and songs at farmer’s markets\, libraries\, community centers\, book stores\, and Nursing Homes in the Driftless region.
