SUMMARY:Guided Paddle at Merrick State Park
DESCRIPTION:Moonlight Paddle at Merrick State Park\nEvent Date: Jun 27\, 2026 \nJoin wildlife biologist Steve Winter and seasoned naturalist Ed Lagace for an educational guided paddle on the Mississippi River. Participants will enjoy a moonlit tour filled with information about local wildlife and the river ecosystem. \nRegistration\nSpace is limited to the first 25 registered participants. To reserve your spot\, email friendsofmerrickstatepark@gmail.com with your full name\, phone number\, and email address. Rentals are available for $30. \nArrival and Logistics\n\nRentals (6:30 p.m.): Check in at the first building after the park entrance to sign the rental agreement\, make payment\, and collect equipment (paddle\, life jacket\, and cushion).\nPersonal Equipment (7:00 p.m.): Proceed directly to the launch area.\n\nRequirements and Notes\n\nSafety: Life jackets are required for all paddlers. Bring a flashlight\, water\, and snacks.\nVehicle Admission: A 2026 annual sticker or day pass is required for park entry. These can be purchased online\, at the entrance building\, or at the kiosk.\nUpdates: Follow www.facebook.com/merrickturtles for program updates.\n\nThis program is free and sponsored by the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks and Merrick State Park Turtle volunteers.
